# Create Agent Thread

`POST /agent/threads`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.threadchain.pro` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.threadchain.pro/agent/threads`

Mint a new thread id. Neither the Postgres checkpointer nor the
``agent_threads`` row is created here — both are created lazily on the
first message (see ``ensure_thread`` in ``stream_agent_message``).
