# List Jurisdictions

`GET /v1alpha2/jurisdictions`

## Request

Lists the jurisdictions the platform supports, their subdivisions, and the capabilities available in each. The catalog changes only on release; cache the response for up to 24 hours. An INVALID_ARGUMENT for an unsupported jurisdiction or state on SearchCompanies or a KYB CreateCheck means the cached catalog is stale.

## Response `200`

A successful response.

- ListJurisdictionsResponse: Response message for [ClientService.ListJurisdictions](#/operations/ClientService_ListJurisdictions).
  - `jurisdictions` Jurisdiction[]: All supported jurisdictions. The catalog is small, so pagination is not needed.
    - `code` string: ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 code, or a user-assigned code where ISO defines none (e.g. "XK" for Kosovo). Used by SearchCompanies and KYBVerificationCheckParams.
    - `alpha3Code` string: ISO 3166-1 alpha-3 code, or a user-assigned code where ISO defines none (e.g. "XKX" for Kosovo), as used in Address.country_code (e.g. "DEU").
    - `displayName` string: The jurisdiction's name.
    - `capabilities` JurisdictionCapability[]: Capabilities available without a subdivision. A capability listed on the subdivisions instead requires one, e.g. KYB_VERIFICATION in "US" requires a state.
    - `subdivisions` JurisdictionSubdivision[]: Subdivisions of the jurisdiction, where any capability depends on them.
      - `code` string: The subdivision code within the jurisdiction, e.g. "CA" for California within "US".
      - `displayName` string: The subdivision's name.
      - `capabilities` JurisdictionCapability[]: Capabilities available in this subdivision.

- `default`: An unexpected error response.
