# Cancel Operation

`POST /api/operations/{operation_id}/cancel`

Cancel one of the caller's own in-flight operations.

404 covers three cases that must stay indistinguishable to the caller: no
such operation, an operation belonging to someone else, and one that has
already finished. Reporting them apart would turn this into an oracle for
whether another identity is currently running something.
