# Wake Perspective Endpoint

`POST /api/mind/v2/perspective/{identity_id}/wake`

TOS-2265: deliberately interrupt a running sleep cycle.

Same access as `/sleep-status` (chat-entitled, not owner-only) and the
same underlying primitive a chat turn already triggers as a side effect
(``defer_running_cycle`` - see ``services.cognitive_v2.sleep_cycle``).
This endpoint is that interruption made explicit and callable without
sending a message; it is never a second writer of ``mind_sleep_cycles``.

Rate-limited per (agent, caller) pair so a looped caller cannot keep this
Mind permanently deferred - see ``services.cognitive_v2.
wake_rate_limit``. Only a call that actually defers a running cycle
spends the caller's budget; a call against an already-awake Mind is a
free no-op.

Successful Response

- V2WakeResult: TOS-2265: outcome of a deliberate wake call. ``woke`` is True iff a running sleep cycle was actually flipped to ``deferred`` by this call - the same primitive turn-start wake uses (``defer_running_cycle``). ``reason='not_sleeping'`` is the only DB-distinguishable explanation for a False result (nothing was running to defer) - a rate-limited attempt never reaches this model at all; it is refused with HTTP 429 before ``defer_running_cycle`` runs (see ``services.cognitive_v2.wake_rate_limit``). Never invents a reason the DB cannot distinguish, per the same rule ``V2SleepStatus.wake_state`` follows.
