# Get Vendor Export Import

`GET /api/me/setup/import-export/{import_id}`

Poll one import's status - owner-only.

A background import runs in-process after the upload response, so an
instance recycled before it ran, or a session factory that failed to
open, leaves the row at ``processing`` with nothing to move it. Rather
than let the card poll forever, a ``processing`` row older than
``IMPORT_PROCESSING_STALE_AFTER`` is reported (and recorded) as failed on
read, with a message that says what to do.
