# Presence Heartbeat

`POST /api/me/presence`

Update presence for the current identity.

Call every 30 seconds while the user has the app open.

No-ops entirely while impersonating: the web app's shared
fetch client attaches X-Impersonate-Identity-Id to every request,
including this heartbeat, so an admin/owner with an identity's screen
open via act-as would otherwise continuously refresh THAT identity's
presence purely from the impersonator's own session - not anything the
identity did.
