# Create Definition Instance

`POST /api/integrations/definitions/{definition_id}/instances`

Add another account instance for a connector definition.

The ordinary Connections UI sends ``personal=true``. That creates one
owner-held account in the caller's home folder and accepts no routing or
mode override. Administrative and MCP callers retain the explicit
``connection_mode``, destination and target-identity contract.

The instance reuses the selected or recommended connection profile and
starts unconnected. The owner completes OAuth or credential setup from the
connection page.
