# Create Folder

`POST /api/folders`

## Request

Create a shared folder; the caller becomes admin.

With ``organization_id`` the folder belongs to that organization (TOS-6927):
its owner and tenant are the organization, so its address sits under the
organization's zone. The caller still gets a direct admin row.

  - `organization_id` string, uuid, nullable: Optional. The id of an organization you are an owner or admin of. When set, the new folder belongs to that organization instead of your personal account; you still become its admin.
