# Add Shortcut Route

`POST /api/folders/{folder_id}/shortcuts`

Place an item that lives in another folder here, as a shortcut.

Never a copy and never a grant: only people who can already see the
original see the shortcut. You must be able to see the item and to add to
this folder. 201 when created, 200 when it was already here.
