# Transfer Folder

`POST /api/folders/{domain_ref}/transfer`

Transfer a top-level folder, with all its subfolders, to an organization.

TOS-6927. The folder and every subfolder change owner and tenant in one
transaction and take an address under the organization; everyone's existing
access is kept. Requires direct admin on the folder and owner or admin on
the organization. A folder that already belongs to an organization also
needs owner or admin there, since this takes it away from that organization.
