# Set Feedback

`POST /api/chats/{chat_id}/messages/{message_id}/feedback`

Upsert a thumbs-up/down vote. Sending the same vote again removes it.

TOS-2165: a downvote carrying a ``reason`` also schedules an immediate
refactor evaluation for the answering agent instead of waiting on the batch
gate. It runs as a background task so the model call never sits inside the
user's click, and on its own session so a failure cannot roll back the vote.
