# Patch Job Settings

`PATCH /api/admin/jobs/{job_id}/settings`

Apply a partial override to one job's or sweep's schedule (TOS-5088 R7).

Only fields present in the request body are touched (see
``JobSettingsPatch``); every one of those is validated against
``assert_field_is_overridable`` before anything is written, so a request
that patches an un-overridable field for this job id fails as a whole,
never partially.

## Request body

- JobSettingsPatch: A partial update to one job's or sweep's override row (TOS-5088 R7). Every field defaults to unset, distinguished from an explicit ``null`` via ``model_fields_set`` - the PATCH handler only touches columns present in the request body at all, so omitting a field leaves its current value (or default) untouched, while sending it as ``null`` clears any existing override on that column back to "use the registry default".
