# Rebuild Identity Mind

Purge an identity's derived cognitive-v2 projection and rebuild it.

TOS-44. Admin-only ops/repair primitive. Clears this Mind's
evaluations/holdings/edges/activations (shared entity/proposition
substrate is left intact), records a rebuild job, and lets the
background replay rebuild it. Admins may target any active identity.

``mode=reapply`` (default, TOS-7100) rewrites the Mind from each chat
window's stored extractor answer and calls the model only for windows
whose messages or extractor changed since that answer was stored: the
right mode after a fix to how answers are written. ``mode=reinterpret``
re-extracts every window through the model (use it after an extractor
prompt or model change, or to deliberately re-roll the extraction).
``mode=reconstruct`` replays the stored event log via MindProjector
(LLM-free); requires that stored events exist; returns 409 if not.

``fast=true`` (TOS-7419, opt-in) starts the longest chats first and runs
more chats at once (``recipe.rebuild.fast_workers``, 12 in platform-default v1). It
changes only scheduling: what is extracted and how it is written is the
same. It has no effect on ``reconstruct``, which makes no model calls.
