# Weather - current conditions, forecast, and alerts

`GET /v1/weather`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://geo.thinair.co`
- URL: `https://geo.thinair.co/v1/weather`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Current conditions + optional multi-day forecast and severe-weather alerts for a coordinate pair or place name.

## Query parameters

- `lat` number
- `lon` number
- `location` string: Free-text place name; geocoded server-side. Provide either lat+lon or location.
- `units` 'imperial' | 'metric': Temperature/wind units (default: imperial).
- `include_forecast` boolean, nullable: Include multi-day hourly forecast.
- `forecast_days` integer: Forecast horizon in days (1-16, default 5).
- `include_alerts` boolean, nullable: Include severe-weather alerts (default: true).
- `include_minutely` boolean, nullable: Include minute-by-minute precipitation for the next 60 minutes.

## Response `200`

Weather observations and forecasts.

- WeatherResponse: Pass-through of the typed WeatherResult. Field set varies with include_* flags.

## Other responses

- `400`: Validation error.
- `429`: Quota exceeded.
- `502`: Weather provider unavailable.
- `504`: Weather provider timed out.
