# List search profiles

`GET /v0/search/profiles`

## Request

Every installed search profile, the profile aliased as default first, with full names, short names and budgets; the pinned retrieval plugin (core.retrieve unless another is pinned) declares them.

Successful response

- SearchProfileList
  - `items` SearchProfileDescription[], required
    - `name` string, required
    - `full_name` string, required: Full plugin/profile name, accepted directly by search.
    - `aliases` string[], required: Configured short names that select this profile; empty for an unaliased profile.
    - `description` string
    - `max_latency_ms` integer: Latency objective (p95 target) of one search under this profile. A slower search still answers; the hard bound is four times this value, at least 2 s and at most 9 s.
    - `max_cost_cents` number: Most a search may spend on paid calls.
    - `provider` object, required
      - `kind` 'engine' | 'plugin', required: plugin, the retrieval plugin that answers the profile. engine is no longer returned since the engine's own search moved into core.retrieve.
      - `plugin_id` string
      - `plugin_version` string

## Other responses

- `default`: Structured error; 401 unauthenticated, 403 unauthorized scope/action.
