# Report a provider link made during sign-in

`POST /auth/firebase-post-link`

## Request

Called after the login form links a social provider to an existing account. Confirms the provider is on the user record and reports the change to identity-cloud-functions.

## Request body

- object
  - `idToken` string, required: A fresh ID token of the signed-in user, taken after the link.
  - `providerId` 'google.com' | 'facebook.com' | 'apple.com', required: The provider that was just linked.
  - `eventId` string: Report id the browser minted for this link; reused by every retry.
  - `linkedAt` string: When the browser made the link.

## Response `200`

Report outcome (`reported`, `failed` or `skipped`) and its event id; a failed report does not fail the request

## Other responses

- `401`: Unauthorized - invalid token
