# Send a synthetic test payload

`POST /webhooks/{id}/test`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://thesignup.app/api/v1`
- URL: `https://thesignup.app/api/v1/webhooks/{id}/test`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

POSTs a `webhook.test` envelope to the endpoint synchronously and returns the receiver's response. Useful for live debugging — failures here do NOT count toward the auto-pause threshold.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, uuid, required

## Response `200`

Test attempt result (regardless of receiver status)

  - `delivered` boolean, required
  - `responseStatus` integer, nullable, required
  - `responseBody` string, nullable, required
  - `errorMessage` string, nullable, required
  - `latencyMs` integer, required

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request — body or path could not be parsed
- `401`: Unauthenticated — credentials missing, malformed, invalid, or revoked
- `404`: Not found
- `429`: Rate limited or daily ceiling exceeded
- `500`: Internal server error
