# Check SOL balance of any wallet

`GET /api/v1/wallet/balance/{walletAddress}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://solentic.theblueprint.xyz`
- URL: `https://solentic.theblueprint.xyz/api/v1/wallet/balance/{walletAddress}`
- Auth: none required

Returns the SOL balance in both SOL and lamports, whether the wallet has enough SOL to stake, and suggested next steps. Use this after generating and funding a wallet to confirm balance before staking.

## Response `200`

Wallet balance

- WalletBalanceResponse: SOL balance for a wallet address with staking readiness.
  - `walletAddress` string: Solana wallet address (base58 public key)
  - `lamports` integer: Balance in lamports (1 SOL = 1,000,000,000 lamports)
  - `sol` number: Balance in SOL
  - `readyToStake` boolean: Whether the wallet has enough SOL to stake (balance >= minimumStakeSol + reserveForFees)
  - `minimumStakeSol` number: Minimum SOL required for staking (rent-exempt minimum, dynamically fetched from chain)
  - `availableToStake` number: SOL available to stake after reserving for transaction fees
  - `reserveForFees` number: SOL reserved for transaction fees (0.005)
  - `_meta` ResponseMeta: Navigation metadata included in most responses
    - `endpoint` string: The endpoint that generated this response
    - `description` string: Brief description of the response
    - `timestamp` string, date-time: ISO 8601 timestamp when this response was generated
    - `relatedEndpoints` object: Related REST endpoints for next actions
    - `relatedTools` object: Related MCP tool names (MCP responses only)
    - `nextSteps` object: Contextual next steps based on response data
    - `verifyThisCode` string: Endpoint to verify code integrity
    - `cacheTtlSeconds` integer: Cache TTL for this response

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid wallet address
- `429`: Rate limited — 100 requests per 60-second sliding window
