# Get current Solana epoch timing

`GET /api/v1/epoch`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://solentic.theblueprint.xyz`

- Auth: none required

Returns current epoch progress, slots remaining, and estimated epoch end time. Useful for understanding when stake activations/deactivations take effect and when cooldowns complete.

Epoch timing

- EpochTimingResponse: Standalone epoch timing response with full details
  - `currentEpoch` integer: Current Solana epoch number
  - `slotIndex` integer: Current slot within the epoch
  - `slotsInEpoch` integer: Total slots in the epoch
  - `slotsRemaining` integer: Number of slots remaining in the current epoch
  - `epochProgress` number: Epoch progress as percentage (0-100)
  - `estimatedSecondsRemaining` integer: Estimated seconds until the current epoch ends
  - `estimatedEpochEnd` string, date-time: ISO 8601 timestamp of estimated epoch end
  - `absoluteSlot` integer: Absolute slot number on the network
  - `note` string: Explanation of epoch timing relevance
  - `_meta` ResponseMeta: Navigation metadata included in most responses
    - `endpoint` string: The endpoint that generated this response
    - `description` string: Brief description of the response
    - `timestamp` string, date-time: ISO 8601 timestamp when this response was generated
    - `relatedEndpoints` object: Related REST endpoints for next actions
