# Get playable audio URL

`GET /api/public/v1/interviews/{interview_id}/audio`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.thebetterhire.ai` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.thebetterhire.ai/api/public/v1/interviews/{interview_id}/audio`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Returns a time-limited presigned URL for the interview recording. The URL expires after 1 hour. Use with evidence timestamps from the scorecard (start_seconds, end_seconds) to seek to specific moments.

Example: if evidence shows start_seconds=872.3, open the URL and seek to 14:32.

**Clips.** Pass `start` and `end` (seconds) to get a URL for just that window — audio-only, cut server-side, cached, same one-hour life — instead of downloading the whole recording to play twenty seconds of it. Windows up to three minutes.

## Path parameters

- `interview_id` string, required

## Query parameters

- `start` number, nullable: Clip start, in seconds. Requires `end`.
- `end` number, nullable: Clip end, in seconds. Requires `start`.
- `format` string: For a clip: `audio` (default, an .m4a of the window) or `video` (a small .mp4 of the window, scaled down, for showing the candidate's face). Needs `start` and `end`.

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- AudioUrlResponse: Playable audio URL for an interview recording.
  - `url` string, required: Time-limited URL to the interview recording. Open in any browser or audio player. Use with evidence timestamps (start_seconds, end_seconds) from the scorecard to seek to specific moments.
  - `expires_in` integer, required: Seconds until the URL expires.
  - `duration_seconds` integer, nullable: Total recording duration in seconds, if known.
  - `clip` ClipWindow: The window a clip URL covers, echoed back rounded to milliseconds.
    - `start_seconds` number, required
    - `end_seconds` number, required
