# Get debrief by candidate email

`GET /api/public/v1/debrief`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.thebetterhire.ai` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.thebetterhire.ai/api/public/v1/debrief`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Same as /candidates/{id}/debrief but looks up candidate by email. Use when you don't have the candidate_id stored.

  - `recommendation` string, required: Consensus hiring recommendation.
  - `confidence` string, required: Confidence level in recommendation.
  - `rounds_completed` integer, required: Number of interview rounds included.
  - `date_range` string: Date range of interviews.
  - `executive_summary` string, nullable: AI-generated executive brief (3-4 sentences).
  - `interview_journey` RoundOutcome[]: Per-round scores and recommendations in chronological order.
    - `round` string, required: Interview round name.
    - `score` integer, required: Score 0-100.
    - `recommendation` string, required: strong_hire | hire | maybe | no_hire
    - `date` string: Date of interview.
    - `interview_id` string: Interview ID for this round.
  - `competency_heatmap` CompetencyHeatmapEntry[]: Competency scores across all rounds (0-10 scale).
