# List Hiring Companies

`GET /api/job-roles/hiring-companies`

## Request

Distinct hiring companies the tenant currently has on active roles,
with a role count per company. Used by the New Role + Edit Identity
flows to autocomplete the Company field — so an agency recruiter
typing "T" sees their existing Tesco client instead of accidentally
creating "Tesco PLC" as a parallel record.

Active-only by design: a closed client's name shouldn't pollute
suggestions for a fresh role. Empty / whitespace-only displays are
filtered out (Generic roles with no internal label have no name
to suggest).
