# Get Usage Summary

`GET /v1/credits/usage`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.theagentc.io` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)

- Auth: HTTP bearer

Get aggregate credit usage for the current billing period.

Shows total spent, earned, and breakdown by reason.
Useful for understanding where credits are being consumed.

Successful Response

- UsageSummary: Aggregate credit usage for current billing period.
  - `total_spent` integer, required: Total credits spent (absolute value)
  - `total_earned` integer, required: Total credits earned (e.g., from resets)
  - `breakdown_by_reason` object, required: Credit changes grouped by reason
  - `period_start` string, date-time, required: Start of billing period
  - `period_end` string, date-time, required: End of billing period (next reset)
