# Retrieve file metadata

`GET /api-platform/files/{file_id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.textcortex.com/v1`
- URL: `https://api.textcortex.com/v1/api-platform/files/{file_id}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Retrieve public API Platform metadata for one accessible uploaded file.

Uses the current API key's permissions. Check `GET /capabilities` for availability. Returns metadata for an owned file, not file bytes or extracted text.
