# Create a New Access Group

`POST /v1/accessGroups`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.tetrascience.com`
- URL: `https://api.tetrascience.com/v1/accessGroups`
- Auth: API key in header `ts-auth-token` and API key in header `x-org-slug`

Create a new [access group](https://developers.tetrascience.com/docs/managing-organization-details#configure-data-access-rules-for-an-organization).

## Request body

- CreateUpdateAccessGroup
  - `name` string, required: The name of the group.
  - `description` string, nullable: The description of the group.
  - `enabled` boolean, required: Indicates whether the group is enabled or not.
  - `rules` AttributeRuleConfiguration, required
  - `ssoGroupMappings` string[]

## Response `201`

The newly created group.

- AccessGroup
  - `id` string, uuid, required: The unique identifier of the group.
  - `name` string, required: The name of the group.
  - `description` string, nullable: The description of the group.
  - `orgSlug` string, required: The organization's slug to which the group belongs.
  - `enabled` boolean, required: Indicates whether the group is enabled or not.
  - `userIds` string[], nullable: List of user IDs associated with the group.
  - `rules` AttributeRuleConfiguration, required
  - `updatedAt` string, date-time, nullable
  - `createdAt` string, date-time, required
