# Stream Notifications

`GET /api/v1/notifications/stream`

## Request

Stream new notifications to the client via Server-Sent Events (SSE).

Because the browser ``EventSource`` API does not support custom headers,
the JWT access token must be passed as the ``token`` query parameter.

The server polls the database every 5 seconds for unread notifications
created after the last check and pushes each one as an SSE ``data:``
frame containing a JSON-encoded notification dict.

The stream stays open until the client disconnects.

- `token` string, required: JWT access token (SSE cannot use headers)
