# Create a new data export

`POST /v1/exports`

## Request

Create a new data export

## Request body

- PostExportsRequest
  - `start_date` string, date, required: Start date for the export (YYYY-MM-DD format)
  - `end_date` string, date, required: End date for the export (YYYY-MM-DD format)
  - `event_type_groups` string[]: List of event type groups to include in the export
  - `event_types` string[]: DEPRECATED — use event_type_groups. List of event type groups to include in the export
  - `limited_rows` boolean: Whether to limit the number of rows in the export
  - `app_id` string, required: App ID to export data for
  - `ad_network_ids` integer[]: Ad Network IDs to filter the export (optional)

## Response `201`

Create a new data export

  - `id` string, required: Export ID
  - `status` string, required: Current state (pending, processing, completed, failed)
  - `limited_rows` boolean, required: Whether row count was limited
  - `app_ids` string[], required: App IDs included in this export
  - `ad_network_ids` integer[], required: Ad Network IDs included in this export
  - `event_type_groups` string[], required: Event type groups included in this export
  - `event_types` string[], required: DEPRECATED — use event_type_groups
  - `created_at` string, date-time, required: Creation timestamp (ISO8601)
  - `updated_at` string, date-time, required: Last update timestamp (ISO8601)
  - `start_date` string, date, required: Start date (ISO8601)
  - `end_date` string, date, required: End date (ISO8601)
  - `expires_at` string, date-time, required: Exact expiry timestamp (ISO8601), 24 hours after creation. Downloads return 410 Gone after this; files are deleted shortly afterwards.
  - `expiration_date` string, date, required: DEPRECATED — use expires_at. Date portion of expires_at: the export expires during this UTC day, not at its end.
  - `files` FileInfo[], required: Files available for download
    - `s3_uri` string, required
    - `file_size` integer, required
    - `download_url` string, required: API path that redirects (303) to a presigned S3 download URL

## Other responses

- `401`: Forbidden - Missing or invalid authentication
- `403`: Unauthorized - Insufficient permissions
- `422`: Wrong Params
- `429`: Open-export limit or daily ending-today limit reached
- `503`: Raw data exports are temporarily paused
