# Delete storage backend

`DELETE /storage-backends/{id}`

Soft-delete a storage backend. A backend that is the workspace default, still bound to knowledge bases, environment-sourced, or a legacy alias cannot be deleted.

- `400` — Backend is default, bound, read-only, or legacy alias
- `401` — Unauthorized
- `404` — Storage backend not found
