# Backfill Audio Renditions

`POST /admin/audio/backfill_renditions`

## Request

Queue the playback and export copies for old audio assets. Admin only.

Audio processed before those copies existed is served its MP3 everywhere.
Each queued task downloads the asset's upload, writes the copies audio
processing writes today, and restores the original rendition's mime type,
codec and size, which processing used to overwrite with the MP3's. The
MP3, transcript and embeddings are left alone, so nothing is billed.

Resumable: keep calling with the returned ``next_after_id`` until it comes
back null. Safe to re-run: an asset leaves the list once its playback copy
is written, and a task for an asset that already has one does nothing, so
starting over only picks up what is still missing (including assets whose
task is still queued).

## Query parameters

- `limit` integer
- `after_id` string, uuid, nullable: Last asset id of the previous page; omit to start over
- `dry_run` boolean: List the page without queuing tasks

Successful Response

- BackfillAudioRenditionsResponse
  - `asset_ids` string[], required: Audio assets in this page with no playback copy, ascending. A task was queued for each unless dry_run was set.
  - `next_after_id` string, uuid, nullable: Pass as after_id to get the next page. Null once the page came back short, which means the end was reached.
  - `dry_run` boolean, required
