# Retrieve an existing quote

`GET /quotes/{id}`

## Request

Returns the cached quote by ID. `pricing.price_per_night` uses the SAME
definition as POST /quote — the all-in average (total / nights) — not
the rail-specific cached per-night figure (redefined 2026-08; the two
endpoints previously disagreed about the same quote id). When `nights`
is not positive the response falls back to the cached per-night figure
and omits `price_per_night_basis`.
