# Get a Smart Template by ID

`GET /v1/medical-record-configurations/{configuration_id}`

Get a Smart Template by its public identifier.

## Path parameters

- `configuration_id` string, required

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- MrcDetailResponse: Full medical record configuration (detail response).
  - `id` string, required: Stable public identifier.
  - `name` string, required: Display name (defaults to the public id when none was set).
  - `description` string, nullable: Optional human-readable description of the template.
  - `hash` string, required: Content hash used to detect configuration changes.
  - `createdAt` string, required: ISO-8601 timestamp when the configuration was created.
  - `configuration` object, required: Section configurations keyed by section name (e.g., 'chiefComplaint', 'vitals').
  - `example` object: Shape of the final payload this template produces, keyed by section name. Leaf values are typed placeholders (`<string>`, `<number>`, `<a | b>` for enums, `<YYYY-MM-DD>` for dates); object sections nest, free-text sections are a single string.
  - `specialties` string[]: Medical specialty values this configuration applies to.
  - `status` 'active' | 'inactive' | 'deleted', required: Public lifecycle status exposed on list/detail responses.
  - `workflow` string, nullable: Product this template belongs to. Null for an ordinary Scribe template.

## Other responses

- `401`: Unauthorized — missing or invalid API key.
- `404`: Not Found — the requested resource does not exist.
- `503`: Service Unavailable — an external dependency is down.
