# Submitting a Metric

`POST /metrics`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://metrics.telemetrytv.com`
- URL: `https://metrics.telemetrytv.com/metrics`
- Auth: API key in header `Authorization`

This endpoint will update the metrics sent to it which will update in real time through TelemetryTV's display applications (notably the Boards).

## Request body

- object
  - `key` string, required: The key of the metric to update
  - `bucket_size` integer: Size of the bucket, in seconds
  - `range` integer: The number of buckets to keep
  - `timestamp` string, date-time: UNIX epoch timestamp
  - `folder` string: The name of the folder
