# Liveness probe

`GET /api/health`

## Request

- Auth: none required

Reports process, database, and semantic-retrieval status. `rag` reflects configuration only, not a live probe of the embedder.

## Response `200`

Healthy.

- Health
  - `status` 'ok' | 'degraded', required
  - `db` string, required: `ok`, or `error: <detail>`.
  - `rag` 'enabled' | 'disabled', required: Whether an embedder is configured. Not a live probe.

## Other responses

- `503`: Database unreachable. `status` is `degraded` and `db` carries the error.
