# Send feedback about the site, a tool, or an idea for a new tool

`POST /v1/feedback`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://tektolo.com` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://tektolo.com/v1/feedback`
- Auth: none declared

Free text plus a scope. For humans (the web forms use it); there is no MCP tool for this on purpose. Messages are capped at 2000 characters, links are replaced with [link] and at most 3 are accepted. Provide an email only if you want a reply. Rate limited to 5 per minute. Leave `website` empty.

- FeedbackIn: What the site, a tool or an idea box sends to ``POST /v1/feedback``.
  - `scope` 'site' | 'tool' | 'idea', required: site, a specific tool, or an idea for a new tool.
  - `capability` string, nullable: Tool id when scope is tool.
  - `page` string: Path of the page the feedback is about.
  - `kind` 'rating' | 'issue' | 'idea' | 'unmatched'
  - `rating` 'useful' | 'not_quite', nullable
  - `reasons` string[]
  - `message` string
  - `email` string, nullable: Only if you want a reply.
  - `estimate` EstimateContext: Identifiers of the estimate being rated. Hashes, versions, region and total only. Every field has a strict format (security review M1): they end up in the feedback digest, so nothing here may carry free text.
    - `result_hash` string, nullable
    - `input_hash` string, nullable
    - `ruleset_version` string, nullable
    - `contract_version` string, nullable
    - `cbsa` string, nullable
    - `expected` number, nullable
  - `finding_text` string, nullable: Unmatched kind only.
  - `website` string: Leave empty (spam trap).

- `422`: Invalid feedback
- `429`: Rate limited
- `503`: Not saved (storage unavailable); nothing was kept, try again
