# Take the next open incident (the fixer)

`POST /v1/admin/incidents/next`

## Request

- Base URL: `http://api.technooptimist.io`
- URL: `http://api.technooptimist.io/v1/admin/incidents/next`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Atomically marks the oldest `new` incident of the lane as `seen` and returns it with samples; `{ incident: null }` when there is nothing to do. `lane=tech` (default: the Opus fixer) or `lane=content` (the content bot: wrong data, routine 'needs review' reports).

## Query parameters

- `lane` 'tech' | 'content'

## Headers

- `x-routine-name` string: Name of the routine making the write; recorded as `routine:<name>` in the audit log.

- `401`: Missing or invalid credentials
- `403`: Credential lacks the required scope
