# Delete a Network Route

`DELETE /network_routes/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.telnyx.com/v2`
- URL: `https://api.telnyx.com/v2/network_routes/{id}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Deletes a route that was added with `POST /network_routes`. Traffic to its CIDR stops going via the next hop at once. Routes that an attachment installs (`origin` `attachment`) leave with the attachment and cannot be deleted here.

- `id` string, uuid, required

## Response `204`

Deleted.

## Other responses

- `404`: Not found: no route with this id exists on the account.
- `409`: Conflict: the route was installed by an attachment.
- `default`: Unexpected error
