# Delete an email inbox

`DELETE /email_inboxes/{id}`

## Request

- Auth: HTTP bearer

Soft-deletes an account-scoped inbox. Its address remains reserved and the inbox is no longer returned by list or get operations.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, uuid, required

## Response `204`

Email inbox deleted. The response has no body.

## Other responses

- `401`: Not authorized (10006).
- `404`: Email inbox not found, already deleted, or owned by another account (10001).
- `503`: Service unavailable (10016), including an unavailable upstream dependency or unavailable Edge idempotency protection for a keyed request.
