# Create a namespace

`POST /ai/memory/namespaces`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.telnyx.com/v2`
- URL: `https://api.telnyx.com/v2/ai/memory/namespaces`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Create a namespace. An organization can have at most five, `default` among them — a sixth returns `403`.

## Request body

- NamespaceCreate
  - `name` string, required: A name for the new namespace, unique within your organization.

## Response `201`

The created namespace

- NamespaceResponse
  - `data` Namespace, required: An isolated memory store within your organization.
    - `id` string, required: The namespace's unique identifier.
    - `name` string, required: The namespace's name, used in the path. `default` exists for every organization.

## Other responses

- `401`: Unauthorized
- `403`: Namespace limit reached
- `502`: Upstream error
