# Status of a write

`GET /ai/memory/namespaces/{namespace}/operations/{operation_id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.telnyx.com/v2`
- URL: `https://api.telnyx.com/v2/ai/memory/namespaces/{namespace}/operations/{operation_id}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Whether a write has finished. Both `ingest` and `remember` return an `operation_id`, and a memory is not recallable until its operation completes — extraction, embedding and consolidation all run first.

    - `operation_id` string, required
    - `status` 'pending' | 'processing' | 'completed' | 'failed' | 'cancelled', required: Where the write is. `completed`, `failed` and `cancelled` are terminal: stop polling at any of them, and treat `failed` and `cancelled` as writes that did not happen.
    - `created_at` string, nullable
    - `completed_at` string, nullable

## Other responses

- `401`: Unauthorized
- `404`: The operation does not exist
- `502`: Upstream error
