# Verify verification code by phone number

`POST /verifications/by_phone_number/{phone_number}/actions/verify`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.telnyx.com/v2`
- URL: `https://api.telnyx.com/v2/verifications/by_phone_number/{phone_number}/actions/verify`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Submits a verification code for the specified phone number and Verify profile. The response indicates whether the code was accepted or rejected.

## Path parameters

- `phone_number` string, required: +E164 formatted phone number.

## Request body

- VerifyVerificationCodeRequestByPhoneNumber
  - `code` string, required: This is the code the user submits for verification.
  - `verify_profile_id` string, uuid, required: The identifier of the associated Verify profile.

## Response `200`

Expected verify response to a valid request.

- VerifyVerificationCodeResponse
  - `data` object, required
    - `phone_number` string, required: +E164 formatted phone number.
    - `response_code` 'accepted' | 'rejected', required: Identifies if the verification code has been accepted or rejected.
