# Get Github Repository Staleness

`GET /api/v1/sources/github/repository-staleness`

The price of a wired-once-and-forgotten production ref, computed at
read time: each configured non-default ref compared against the default
branch. Repositories on the default branch never compare (the
comparison collapses by definition), and a repository GitHub won't
answer for is left out rather than failing the read — this is an
advisory surface, not a gate. The base GET /sources/github stays
DB-only; this endpoint carries the GitHub round-trips.

- GitHubRepositoryStalenessResponse: Only the actionable entries: repositories on the default branch, fresh refs, and repositories GitHub wouldn't answer for are all left out.
