# Start signing in to an MCP server again

`POST /api/v1/org-mcp-servers/{server_id}/sign-ins`

## Request

Starts a new sign-in for a server, as the person who signs in; a
server using an access token switches to the sign-in once it finishes.

## Path parameters

- `server_id` string, uuid, required: The server's id, as list_org_mcp_servers returns it.

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- OrgMcpServerSignIn
  - `sign_in_url` string, required: The page to send the person to.
  - `state` string, required: The sign-in's state; the page returns it to the callback.
  - `issuer_host` string, required: The host of the service the person signs in with.

## Other responses

- `401`: Unauthorized
- `403`: Forbidden
- `404`: The server is gone
- `405`: Method not allowed
- `422`: The request was refused, or the server couldn't be connected
- `429`: Too many dials this minute or day
- `500`: Internal server error
