# Classify a product into a tax category (AI)

`POST /v1/taxability/classify`

## Request

Suggest the best leaf tax-category for a product, given its name and optionally a description and SKU. Returns a 0-1 confidence, 2-3 alternates, and the model's reasoning. Below 0.85 confidence sets `needs_review:true` and does NOT auto-apply. Re-classifying the same input within 30 days returns `cache_hit:true` without counting against the quota.
