# Delete My Account

`DELETE /api/me`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.taxcompass.it` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)

Erase the account. Autopilot rows go with it via ``ON DELETE CASCADE``.

``require_fresh_auth`` rather than ``get_current_user``: erasure is the one
action here that cannot be undone, so the token has to have been
authenticated in the last few minutes (#597). The export paths above are
deliberately *not* gated — reading your own data is not destructive, and
friction there discourages the export we tell people to take before deleting.
