# Check whether a blockchain address is assigned to a virtual account

Check whether a blockchain address with the specified cryptocurrency is registered within Tatum and is assigned to a virtual account (that is, whether this blockchain address is a deposit address associated with the virtual account).

If the blockchain address is assigned to a virtual account, information about this account is returned. Otherwise, an error message is returned.

  - `id` string, required: The ID of the virtual account
  - `balance` AccountBalance, required
    - `accountBalance` string, required: All assets on the account, both available and blocked
    - `availableBalance` string, required: The account balance minus the blocked assets; use the available balance to determine how much a customer can send or withdraw from their virtual account
  - `currency` string, required: The currency of the virtual account
  - `frozen` boolean, required: If set to "true", the virtual account is frozen
  - `active` boolean, required: If set to "true", the virtual account is active
  - `customerId` string: The ID of the customer (newly created or existing one) associated with the virtual account
  - `accountNumber` string: The number associated with the virtual account in an external system
  - `accountCode` string: The code associated with the virtual account in an external system to designate the purpose of the account in bookkeeping
  - `accountingCurrency` string: The currency in which all the transactions for all accounts will be accounted
  - `xpub` string: The extended public key of the blockchain wallet associated with the virtual account; used to generate deposit addresses for the virtual account

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad Request
- `401`: Unauthorized. Not valid or inactive subscription key present in the HTTP Header.
- `403`: Forbidden. The request is authenticated, but it is not possible to required perform operation due to logical error or invalid permissions.
- `500`: Internal server error. There was an error on the server during the processing of the request.
