# Error breakdown by source

`GET /errors/breakdown`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.tatum.io/v4/logs`

- Auth: API key in header `x-api-key`

Returns error counts grouped by originating source over the window.

## Response `200`

Error breakdown by source, network/chain, and operation.

- ErrorBreakdownResponse: Error breakdown across three dimensions for the "Breakdown" panel. Only the source series carries a sparkline; chain and operation rows are totals.
  - `sources` ErrorBreakdownSourceRow[], required: Per-source rows (with trend), ranked by descending total.
    - `source` string, required: Error source / originating layer.
    - `total` number, required: Total errors attributed to this source.
    - `sparkline` Sparkline, required: Compact time series used for trend visualizations (KPI cards, issue trends, per-source breakdowns). Points are ordered oldest → newest and cover the full requested window with empty buckets padded to `0`.
      - `points` SparklinePoint[], required: Ordered buckets, oldest first.
        - `timestamp` string, required: Start of the bucket, ISO-8601 UTC with a trailing `Z`.
        - `value` number, required: Aggregated count for the bucket (0 when the bucket is empty).
      - `total` number, required: Sum of `value` across all points — the window total in one number.
  - `networks` ErrorBreakdownNetworkRow[], required: Per-network/chain totals, ranked descending.
    - `network` string, required: Blockchain network (chain-qualified).
    - `chain` string, required: Blockchain.
    - `total` number, required: Total errors for this network/chain.
  - `operations` ErrorBreakdownOperationRow[], required: Per-operation totals, ranked descending.
    - `operation` string, required: RPC method / operation name.
    - `total` number, required: Total errors for this operation.
  - `capped` boolean, required: True when served from the raw table and capped; rows are then empty.
