# Start a device-code connection

`POST /v1/connect/start`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://app.taskfuel.ai`
- URL: `https://app.taskfuel.ai/v1/connect/start`
- Auth: none required

Returns a short-lived code and browser URL. Show both to the user and ask them to sign in and approve the connection. No API key is required.

## Response `200`

Connection request created.

  - `verification_url` string, uri, required
  - `expires_in` integer, required: Lifetime in seconds.
  - `poll_interval` integer, required: Recommended polling interval in seconds.
