# Enable the agent seat

`POST /workspaces/{workspaceId}/agent`

Workspace owner only. Creates (or reactivates) the workspace agent: a bot-flagged service account seated as editor in every project of the workspace, including future ones. The embedded assistant's writes are then attributed to the agent (with the delegating human recorded), tasks can be assigned to it, and tokens minted for it through the service-accounts API let an external runner act as the same identity. It never counts against the plan's people limit.

  - `name` string: Display name. Defaults to "<app name> Agent".

Enabled.

    - `token_count` integer, required: API tokens minted for the agent.

## Other responses

- `400`: Validation failed: the body or query did not match the schema, or a business rule was violated. `error` says which.
- `401`: Missing, invalid, expired or revoked credentials.
- `403`: Authenticated, but not allowed: not a member, insufficient project role or the API token lacks the required scope.
- `404`: Not found, or not visible to the caller (tenancy is enforced: foreign resources look identical to missing ones).
- `409`: This workspace already has an active agent.
- `429`: Rate limited. Back off and retry after the window in the `RateLimit-*` headers.
