# Cancel a queued connection request

`POST /v1/connections/{username}/cancel`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.taplio.com`
- URL: `https://api.taplio.com/v1/connections/{username}/cancel`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Cancels the latest connection request this account queued for `username`, so it never reaches LinkedIn. The request stays as the record, with `status: cancelled`, a `failure_reason` and a `failure_code`. A recipient this account never requested answers `404 connection_not_found`. Refused with `409 connection_not_cancellable` when the request was already sent, is in a final state, or is being sent; `reason` in the details says which.
