# Create a comment draft

`POST /v1/comments/drafts`

## Request

Stores a comment to post later on `post_urn`, or as a reply to `comment_id` when one is given. `comment_id` takes the `comment_urn` served by GET /v1/engagement/comments, in any of LinkedIn's spellings; a bare comment id is rejected, since the urn also carries the post id the comment is filed under and that id is not `post_urn`. `content` is capped at 1250 characters, LinkedIn's comment limit.

## Other responses

- `400`: Validation failed.
- `401`: Missing or invalid API key.
- `402`: Subscription payment failed.
- `403`: Subscription does not allow this request.

- `409`: Resource state precludes this request.
- `422`: Request semantically rejected.
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded.
- `500`: Internal server error.
- `503`: Upstream unavailable.
